Mumbai!!

Our finale of the trip was hitting the home of one of my favorite movies: Slumdog Millionare. To be honest, by the time Meghan and I made it to Mumbai we were tired and sort of done with sightseeing. By this point a temple looked like a temple looked like a palace. The one different thing was that this time we were staying with a host family. Honestly they were the BEST part of Mumbai for us. They were so amazing and cooked us food and picked us up from the airport and arranged a driver for us the next day. Plus we got the added of bonus of meeting incredible people with such a unique background and getting some damn good home cooked Indian food. All amazing.

We started out our day by going to a national park that was SUPPOSED to have tigers but of course the tiger section was closed that day. So much for that dream of seeing tigers in the land of the Jungle Book. Instead we saw some ancient Buddhist caves that reminded me a lot of Cambodia.

I love these views of this vast city with nature in the way. Reminds me of Central Park a little bit. I think the craziest thing was flying in and out of Mumbai at night and seeing how HUGE it is. After this we went to lunch at a schmancy seafood restaurant where Megs got her first taste of crab. It was sooooo good. It was a great recommendation from our host family. Then we just drove around the city to see the sights, mostly from the car because we were so lazy. India Gate and the bay views were beautiful.
