I seriously love how much a can of paint and a couple hours can completely change a room. About a week ago I repainted our living room grey so the new rug from Vermont wouldn't clash with the purple walls. I feel like I live in a very legit "grown up" space now.

Don't mind Sawyer's green laser beam eyes - it happens with the flash. I love the new color and the rug. It feels so homey having a gorgeous oriental rug in the apartment. Also - here is a self-indulgent pic of Sawyer at 9 months (he is getting soooo big!):
