Following that we started to lose a little steam - fortunately Ed was there to get us off our butts and out the door to kick off the evening (around 12:30am). We headed down to get Crepes on Ludlow and got to wander around the East Village at 1:30 in the morning on a Friday night. Definitely ran past some interesting characters. One of these characters decided to come into the Crepes joint and eat off Joey's plate! I have never seen Ed so mad. I thought he was going to get up and punch the kid. Fortunately he didn't.
We then decided, while the night was still young (around 2:00am by now), that we should go find a place to sit outside and play cards while we waited for the sun to come up. On our way, we saw one of the most intense bitch-slap situations ever! It was a definitely a moment. We went and sat across from Ed's high school in Extensions at one of the chess tables and played Spades for 3 hours. At the end of our game (where Meghan and I beat Joey and Ed at 321 to -230(yeah, you read that right, negative 230) a couple guys walked up to us wanting to know where they could score some hash. Unfortunately we couldn't help them out, but they saw we were playing Spades and got all kinds of excited. He went off on this tirade about how cheating wasn't cheating it was Spades - and all the differet ways to cheat. It was fairly impressive considering he had downed a considerable amount of a 40.
Finally - it was time to head to the Brooklyn Bridge for a beautiful sunrise whereafter we walked into Brooklyn and went to the original Juniors (aka IOR) for some cheesecake for breakfast. All in all, it was a fairly fabulous evening/morning and quite the way to send Meghan to AZ.

Oh the life you are living! Quite the adventures to add to your book of interesting moments! I am loving the little profile Florida picture on the stairs - very appropriate.
